Winter is upon us and we are about to enter the holiday season. With Thanksgiving up first on our holiday list, it would seem appropriate for J.Rad to give thanks at this time. Enough just can't be said to properly express the gratitude and appreciation of the band!
All of our friends both old and new alike have made the first season of the bands new line-up a sensational success! The J.Rad family of friends and musical enthusiasts is growing everyday. The efforts made by all of you to spread the word and the music have made all the difference in the world. The letters, e-mails, guestbook entries, Showtime patronage and personal comments have been overwhelming.
As we look back the first show out of the box was the WBAB Homegrown Live First Anniversary show at The Downtown. The Fingerman introduced the band and the electricity has been flowing since! The next happening was a guest appearance with Poison at the season opening of the Jones Beach Theatre. Wow! What a scene! Next up was July 4th weekend with the Metal Sludge Tour! Talk about fireworks! Faster Pussycat, Enuff Znuff, Pretty Boy Floyd, C.C. Banana and Yours Truly! Sludge mania at its best!
Next up! Showtime, with a guitar legend! Johnny Winter and J.Rad! Electricity was flowing as it proved to be a night to remember! Onto the next outing, a packed to capacity crowd with Bret Michael's on the Eve of the World Series. A solid hour of J.Rad Rock n Roll and a most memorable night as the band made so many new friends that evening!
Still to come! A blockbuster event with Twisted Sister! Wanna Rock! Rock we shall! Looking even further ahead we will enter into 2004 with Blue Oyster Cult! In January.
