Russ got into the band scene playing clubs  with progressive hard rock project "Hallows Mist", which featured such members as Edward Pursino of Virgin Steele and Guy Marchais of Suffocation.  Throughout the years, Russ has played with many musicians/musical acts, both local and national, and has done tons of session/recording work as well as performed on hundreds of stages along the east coast.  Russ also appeared on Entertainment Tonight along with other heavy metal performers for an underground metal documentary.  Influenced by a blues/rock style, Russ adds a warm feel to whatever he is playing, as well as priding himself in his stage performance. 

Other credits are original side  project "Ghosts of Nomad" and a tribute to Deep Purple in "Just Purple".   Russ uses all vintage Fender basses and Ampeg amplification.
